Webinar with Classy

During my first few months at Campaign Monitor, I was given the opportunity to employ my knowledge of the nonprofit space (acquired during my time at Kindful) in a partner webinar with industry mainstay Classy.

Process

I had multiple responsibilities in this webinar process:

  1. Met with Classy’s presenter to develop outline. We had one virtual meeting to discuss broad strokes, and worked in a Google Doc to finalize content flow. The webinar would handoff components between Classy’s presenter and myself, Campaign Monitor’s presenter.

  2. Drafted script for the webinar. I composed the entire script for myself for a flawless presentation.

  3. Create presentation slides. After drafting the script, I crafted the slide copy and started sourcing examples. A good presentation always has illustrations and examples. I dug through hundreds of email examples from shared customers between Campaign Monitor and Classy to best illustrate my points.

  4. Present the webinar. Classy’s host introduced me and I presented my content. There was also time for Q&A at the end, during which I answered several questions off the cuff.
